GREENSBORO, N.C. -- People who live and work along Friendly and Spring Street in Greensboro say they hear screeching brakes on a daily bases.

  • There have been 11 accidents at the intersection this year
  • There have been complaints filed with the city
  • Officers say they would assess the situation

Greensboro police officers say there have been 11 accidents at that intersection so far this year. The people that work at Photobiz, right at that intersection, have filed a complaint with the city. They have an idea of what they think the city needs to do.

"Maybe put some type of signs down the road where there's blinking lights that kind of say 'hey lights about to change ahead' because as soon as this light changes, that one changes,” Jeremy Hyler said. “People are punching through and the other lights already change, people are going to go right through it."

Greensboro Police's Motorcycle Unit say once they get the complaint they will do a week long assessment to see what to do.
