The hospital partnered with Francis, Florence and Friends Equine Rescue out of Swansboro, North Carolina, to get the necessary supplies to horses and other large animals in need.

They hope to fill at least two trailers with donations and drop them off on the coast by next week.

"They can range from bottled water, canned food, non-perishable, cat litter, they're going to need blankets, carriers, leashes, harnesses and, of course, cleaning supplies," said Jonathan Marquez. "We're talking about bleach, brooms, shovels, working gloves and contractor-grade bags."

There is a complete list of items they need on the Northwood Animals Hospital's website.

You can drop off items at the hospital from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
