Hurricane Florence has been downgraded to a Category 2 storm but it is still considered an extremely dangerous and life-threatening storm.

 Its maximum sustained winds have dropped slightly to 110 mph.

We can expect Thursday to be a bit breezy, with a few showers starting to move into the Triad. Friday through the weekend is when biggest impacts from Florence effect our area. 

 

 

 Right now, expect 3-6" of rain, with isolated areas seeing 8+. As for wind, 20-30 mph sustained wind, with gusts up to 35+. This numbers are subject to change as the track of Florence into the weekend is very uncertain. Continue to monitor the forecast on Spectrum News.
