GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Folk music lovers are heading to the Triad to experience this year's North Carolina Folk Festival.

The three-day outdoor event is completely free and features performances as well as demonstrations by musicians, dancers and craftspeople.

 

 

The celebration kicks off Friday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. However, if you can't make it opening night, there will be plenty of performances from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
