GREENSBORO, N.C. -- More than 1,200 canines came out to the Greensboro Coliseum this weekend, for the Carolina Cluster dog show.

  • The Carolina Cluster Dog Show will be held in Greensboro.
  • Dogs tested their agility skills on the 'My Dog Can Do That' obstacle course, dock diving or did tricks for the American Kennel Club title.
  • The activities were open to any mixed breed dog.

Besides the breed ring, dogs tested their agility skills on the 'My Dog Can Do That' obstacle course, dock diving or did tricks for an American Kennel Club title.

The activities were open to any mixed breed dog. Diann Templeman, who has shown dogs for 30 years, said, "A dog is meant to be a dog so to get them out there lure chasing and dock diving and barn hunting and farm dogs, it's great. I love to see the mixed breeds come out and participate because they're just as good."

Penny Leigh, an American Kennel Club program manager, said before the show started, "There will be dogs here from all over the country and it's competitive, you know you don't enter because you want to lose but it's also very much in good sportsmanship and for the love of dogs. We're all here because we love our dogs."
