GREENSBORO, N.C. -- After a great start to the week and another clear and pleasant night tonight, a hotter trend sets up for midweek.

  • Highs will climb to the lower 90s on Tuesday but the humidity level will remain low
  • A few showers and storms will be possible by Wednesday afternoon
  • Tropical Storm Chris is forecast to become a Hurricane on Tuesday

Now, highs will climb to the lower 90s on Tuesday but the humidity level will remain low for this time of year.

However, that will change on Wednesday. That's because a cold front will approach the region and as a result more moisture will enter the region.

That said, a few showers and storms will be possible by Wednesday afternoon, even though coverage will likely remain low for Central NC. Nonetheless, the front will stall nearby on Thursday and that will lead to additional rain and storm chances to wrap the week.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Chris remains stationary about 250 miles off the Carolina Coast.

Chris is forecast to become a Hurricane on Tuesday.  High surf & rip currents will impact the Carolina beaches but the storm will remain offshore as it accelerates into the North Atlantic on Wednesday.
