YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. -- A social studies teacher and women's soccer coach at Forbush High School is on suspension over questions about communications with a particular student.

  • Kenan James was initially suspended with pay back in May, now suspended without pay
  • The suspension was due to allegations of inappropriate social media contact with a student
  • James has been with the school system since 1999

School officials say that Kenan James was initially suspended with pay back in May.

The suspension was due to allegations of inappropriate social media contact with a student. 

The matter was also referred to Yadkin Sherif's Office. James has now been suspended without pay since June 19.
