GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A passing shower or storm is possible across parts of the region through late this evening. However, any activity is expected to diminish by midnight.

  • Possble showers and storms overnight
  • A weak cold front will pass across the Carolinas on Thursday
  • However, a rather hot weekend is set to unfold

After that, look for partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions with lows near 70.

A weak cold front will pass across the Carolinas on Thursday. Although a stray shower or storm can't be ruled out chances remain very low for any given location.

Otherwise, mostly sunny skies are set for the end of the week along with seasonable highs in the middle 80s.

A rather hot weekend is set to unfold.  Highs will likely near 90 on Saturday, followed by lower 90s on Sunday.

A few storms may result late in the weekend and early next week.  That said, hot temperatures should carry well into next week.
