GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front will drop south across the area tonight and then stall over South Carolina on Tuesday.

The front will bring cooler temperatures to the Triad on Tuesday. Highs will likely struggle into the middle 70s, and mostly cloudy skies should persist much of the day. A shower or two can't be ruled out, even though rain is expected to remain light.

Sunshine and hotter weather will begin to regain control on Wednesday as highs near 90 on Thursday and Friday.

Slightly cooler weather is anticipated for the weekend with only marginal chances of t-storms.  Bottom line, this upcoming weekend looks like a good one!  Enjoy.
