DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. - A seven year old girl and her dad are recovering after both being attacked by a coyote.
- Girl attacked in family's backyard
- Animal never located
- No word yet on what kind of injuries they sustained
The incident happened in the family's backyard this weekend as the girl was playing around 3:15 p.m. on May 19.
The animal was never located; however, both victims did receive medical attention.
The Davie County Sheriff's Office say they have been getting more call of coyote sightings.
Authorities say one way to avoid coyotes is by making sure that your garbage lids are closed tightly.
