Areas of rain will linger across much of the region late this evening and even into the overnight.

  • Flash flood watch is posted until midnight
  • Watch out for rising water
  • More chances of rain until at least Wednesday

Heavy downpours will again be possible, so a flash flood watch is posted for most of north-central NC through midnight.  Be on the lookout for fast rising water in and around periods of torrential rain.  Also, if you encounter a road covered in water remember... "turn around don't drown" find another way home!

Slightly drier air will work in from the west on Sunday.  Now, even though we can't rule out a few areas of rain for the day, less numerous periods of rain and storms are expected for the Triad, and especially in the mountains.  Look for highs in the middle 80s.

Unsettled weather still appears likely for the early part of the work week.  Once again, periods of rain and storms look likely most afternoons through at least Wednesday.
