LEXINGTON, N.C. -- A family faces felony charges after deputies found animals in their care starved to death.

Davidson County deputies started an investigation after discovering animals in inhumane conditions while responding to a 911 call Thursday on West Center Street Extension.

They say two animals were dead inside the home and they seized several others.

Terry Potts, Sr., Chrystal Potts, Christopher Potts, and Terry Potts, Jr. are charged with multiple counds of animal cruelty, killing an animal by starvation and animal abandonment.
