With high pressure parked over North Carolina we will see light wind and dry conditions. It will also be cool for one more day despite a little more sunshine in the forecast.

A return to the 60s on Thursday will be short-lived as cool air makes its way back into the Triad for Friday. However, a cold front is poised to move through the Southeast during the weekend and a few showers are possible.

The big cool-down comes to end the weekend into next week with highs in the 40s to 50s and lows in the 20s and 30s.
