DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. -- Anthony Wall gets a guilty verdict -- but avoids jail time.

Previously reported:

Wall is the young man whose arrest at a Warsaw Waffle House gained national attention in May.

A viral video appeared to show an officer’s hands around Wall's neck before pulling him to the ground.

Restaurant employees and customers from the night took the stand, as well as Wall and the officer who made the arrest.

All were telling their own interpretations of what happened at Waffle House that night, but the judge ultimately had the last say.

“He was just trying to do his job I don’t think he had any intention to bully you or intimidate you. He just wanted to do his job and get you out of there in a calm manner,” said Judge Mario Perez.

Wall was found guilty of resisting arrest and will serve a 20-day suspended sentence, which means he'll serve no jail time.
