GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina University has announced class cancellations in the wake of Hurricane Florence.

  • Classes canceled beginning Tuesday at 12 p.m. through Friday
  • Residence halls will remain open for those who can't travel home
  • A call center will be open beginning 8 a.m. Tuesday for students, parents and staff

Classes are canceled beginning Tuesday at 12 p.m. through Friday.

Administrators are highly encouraging students to travel home before the storm hits.

Residence halls will remain open for those who can't travel home.

Beginning 8 a.m. Tuesday, an ECU call center will be in operation at 252-737-5100 for students, parents and staff who have non-emergency questions related to the hurricane. It will be staffed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. On Twitter, use #ECUFlorence with questions during business hours.
