We're in for another typical summer day across eastern North Carolina. With plenty of sunshine, high temperatures will top out in the low 90s in most inland areas. The sea breeze will keep highs in the upper 80s for our beaches.

A few isolated showers and storms could pop up around midday or the afternoon as the sea breeze front moves inland from the coast. Since any storms would be isolated, there's just a 20 percent chance to see one. Any that develop would come to an end by late afternoon or evening.

We'll see higher chances for afternoon and evening storms by the weekend.

High temperatures for the rest of this week are forecast to the in the low 90s except for those upper 80s at our beaches.
