Without as much rain around eastern North Carolina this week, it has been hotter compared to last week.  That trend continues Thursday.  With plenty of sun and just a few fair weather clouds, high temperatures will range from near 90 at our beaches to the low and mid 90s inland.  The humidity will make it feel more like the upper 90s to near 100.

There is only about a 20% chance for an isolated storm late Thursday.  Afternoon and evening storm chances will be higher for late Friday and the weekend.

Friday's highs will top out in the upper 80s at our beaches to the low 90s inland. The heat index will be in the upper 90s.

Highs in the upper 80s to near 90 are forecast through the weekend.
