Cooler weather has settled in for the weekend. The gusty northwest winds that delivered the cold dry air across the region Saturday have diminished, but still can put a chill in the air.

Ample sunshine in the forecast through Monday with afternoon highs warming from the upper 30s to low 40s Sunday into mid 40s for Monday. Warmer for Tuesday in advance of the next weather-maker coming our way. This next system has the potential to bring some wintry weather across the region into Wednesday morning. As of now it looks like snow will develop across eastern sections Wednesday morning with the snow mixing with then changing to rain into Wednesday.

Chilly for Thursday then we’ll see a significant warm up as we head towards next weekend.
