The rain will taper off as we get through Saturday afternoon, but chilly temperatures remain with highs folding in the 40s.

Late tonight a cold front will push across eastern North Carolina helping to clear out skies and keep out temperatures on the chilly side. Look for highs Sunday in the mid to upper 40s.

A cold start to the work week Monday morning with lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s, then a brief warm up Monday afternoon into Tuesday before the next cold front cools us down for Wednesday.

Dry weather is expected into next weekend.
