WILMINGTON, N.C. – A crossing guard on the North Carolina coast is helping out students in more ways than one.
Minnie Galloway, a crossing guard for Trask Middle School in Wilmington, set up a free coat rack with help from the Salvation Army.
Galloway said she decided to take action after hearing that a student didn't have a warm coat.
"I did it because I thought some of the kids would want them but some of the kids that did need them got them."
Galloway displays the coats at her crossing station daily.
