BLADEN COUNTY -- A final decision was recently made in the Lennon Lacy case. The teen's body was found hanging from a swing set in Bladenboro back in 2014. The U.S. Attorneys Office said they found no evidence pointing to a homicide and the case is now closed. They believe he killed himself. However, we spoke with several neighbors who declined to go on camera, who  said they are concerned justice was not served. Due to the evidence, some believe there is more to the case.

Lacy's mother also declined an interview request from Time Warner Cable News Friday morning.

In a statement, District Attorney Jon David said “The FBI assessment has confirmed my initial opinion that the investigation conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Bladenboro Police Department was complete, thorough, and professional. I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the hard work and dedication of SBI Special Agent Paul Songalewski who went above and beyond the call of duty to see that justice was done in this matter. Having determined the cause of death does not lessen the pain of the Lacy family. My thoughts and prayers are with the Lacy family during this difficult time and I encourage the community to support them in their time of need. This investigation is now closed."
