TEXAS β€” FIFA has announced its official 2026 World Cup schedule, with the event officially kicking off on June 11, 2026.

Many media outlets had reported that Dallas would host the final game of the World Cup, but it was announced on Feb. 4 that the final game would be played in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.

The U.S. opening game will be played in Los Angeles, California, on June 12, 2026.

The majority of World Cup games will be held in Dallas, totaling nine matches. The games will also head over to Houston where a total of seven games will be played. The games will be held on on June 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 30, and July 4. It is unclear what venue has been selected for the Houston matches.

In addition to the matches, Houston will host events every day for the first three weeks, such as FIFA Fan Fest and watch parties, according to Chris Canetti, committee president of Houston's World Cup.

The Bronze Medal final game will be hosted in Miami, Florida.
