RALEIGH, N.C. — The Southern Ideal Home Show is returning to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds this weekend. The show caters to homeowners looking to improve their living spaces.

There will be vendors and experts offering their products and services, as well as advice to make the projects come to life.

What You Need To Know

  • The Southern Ideal Home Show returns Sept. 15-17

  • For three days, home improvement experts will help attendees find products and services they are looking for

  • There will be celebrity guest appearances by Chef Vivian Howard and Southern Charm's Craig Conover

The show will run all weekend long. The fairgrounds host this show twice a year, in the spring and fall. It will be a one-stop shopping experience for attendees.

Show manager Tina Robinson says there will be around 200 vendors at the event.

“We will have all sorts of amazing things here from kitchen and bath, landscaping, flooring, window treatments,” Robinson said.

Vendors come from all over to participate. Robinson said while this event is helping owners, it also serves another purpose.

“A typical store front doesn’t see this many people. They are not going to see 14,000 people in a weekend,” Robinson said. “So, when you are at a show and when you have an exhibit space at a show you get the opportunity to see 14,000 people in three days.”

Robinson said with inflation changing, many people are choosing to stay in their homes and renovate them, versus selling or buying new.

This event will take place Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The show is in the exposition center and the Jim Graham building. You can get tickets at the box office or online.
