BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. – A dam in Brunswick County has breached following severe flooding caused by Florence.

The Boiling Spring Lakes dam breached Saturday.
Big Lake, North Lake and Pine Lake are expected to drain very rapidly.
There is no word on the damage this is expected to cause in addition to Florence.
Alton Lennon Road, E. Boiling Spring Road and NC-87 are all closed in the area.
