Happy Labor Day! We're heading into another hot day at that! Heat, humidity, and isolated storms will continue for the next several days with an increasing chance for storms by the end of the week.

Monday will likely make the ninth day in a row hitting 90-degrees in Charlotte. Temperatures will warm quickly by this afternoon and be coupled with an isolated chance for an afternoon shower or storm. Most areas should be okay for outdoor Labor Day plans.

We'll look for a persistently hot weather pattern well into the upcoming work week. Highs will remain near 90 degrees each day for the Piedmont with limited chances for storms. Better chances will be focused in the mountain zones.

By the weekend, moisture associated with the remnants of soon-to-become Tropical Storm Gordon will likely allow for better chances for storms as a frontal boundary begins sagging towards our region.
