Tornado touches down in Gaston County

CRAMERTON, N.C. -- Severe weather Tuesday night produced a tornado in Gaston County.

Just after 9 p.m., law officers confirmed a twister touched down in the eastern part of the county. Chief meterologist Jeff Crum reported the storm moved at about 15 mph. At this point, there are no reports of damage in the area.

Seems to be a lot of reports of a funnel, with little to no contact with the ground. Still no damage reports from the Cramerton area. That may change. #cltwx #SpecNewsCLT
