HICKORY, N.C. -- A grandmother and Hickory resident believes her home was targeted after a deadly shooting last weekend.

Maudie Hewitt, 64, said she woke up to someone shooting up her home around 3 a.m.

While the shots missed her, they went through the door hitting her recliner and side of her house, and busted her car windows.

She thinks her house was targeted after a shooting at The Vault Bar and Lounge, where one was shot dead and three others were injured.

Hewitt said a party was being held there for her grandson, who had just gotten out of prison.

"There had been rumors that there would be retaliation," said Hewitt. "I don't know what, I don't know why, but they said it was going to be my home, my grandson's girlfriend's home, and his mom, which is my daughter."

She said she didn't take it to heart until detectives told her her home was the third targeted in the last few days.

"Kids these days, it's nothing like when we came up. A lot of them are disrespectful. They walk out here, they curse and have handguns," Hewitt said.

Detectives told her they don't have any suspects yet but are looking a surveillance video.

The Vault turned over its liquor license to the ABC Board following the shooting.
