High pressure will move off the coast tonight. With the southerly flow, we shouldn't be as cold as Wednesday morning; mid to lower 30s for the Piedmont, mid 20s for Boone.
Increasing clouds will be noticed Thursday afternoon and evening. A rain/snow mix for the mountains, will start Thursday evening; ending in all snow early Friday morning. Out across our Piedmont, a brief cold rain is expected.
We'll clear skies a bit Friday with dry conditions through Saturday; chilly however. Our next system will bring another soggy cold day of rain for Sunday and early Monday; mountains could see some impressive snow totals if temps will agree.
