CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Mecklenburg Police officers are investigating a murder suicide that happened on Sebastiani Drive in North Charlotte.

Officers say the call came in at around 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.

At around 6:00 p.m., officers closed down a part of I-485 due to a death investigation near Brookshire to Mount Holley Road. Officials say a mother, Christina Treadway, 34, jumped from a bridge and was pronounced dead.

Officers say they went to her home and found 3-year-old Iliyah Miller and 7-year-old Isaiah Miller with serious injuries inside the residence. They were transported to a hospital where they later died. They say they were also assaulted by their mother before her suicide.

We are told there were no others inside the home when officers arrived.

At this time, we do not know how the children died. This is an ongoing investigation.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for funeral expenses.
