MATTHEWS, N.C.-- More than 300 positions at the Family Dollar Support Center in Matthews will soon be gone.

The move is part of a corporate restructuring of the company which was bought by dollar tree last year.

One hundred of the positions are currently vacant.

CEO Bob Sasser said, “These difficult but necessary actions will enhance our ability to efficiently support our businesses, while achieving our stated synergy targets. Our focus continues to be on maximizing our operational efficiencies to drive tremendous value for our customers, while creating long-term value for our shareholders."
