CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have noticed a series of residential break-ins that appear to be related.
In these cases the victims are of Asian descent and own businesses in the Charlotte area.
The suspect or suspects generally commit the break-ins during day time hours and possibly have canvassed the area prior to the break-in.
Witnesses have reported seeing a subject walking around acting suspiciously in the area of the break-ins.
The subject is described as a black male, approximately 6’ in height and weighs about 170-200 lbs.
Detectives are encouraging the public to pay attention to their surroundings and immediately call 911 to report anyone that they believe to be suspicious.
