CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- Seafood Connection opened at it’s new University City location this year, brining a cult following with it.

As the restaurant's slogan will tell you, it’s something in the sauce.

While there’s plenty of spots with fresh fish, Seafood Connection is the only place to get it’s secret sauce made by owner and head chef, Jamie Walker.

A rub seasoning and butter-like base covers every piece of food to come from Chef Walker’s kitchen, even mixing the seasoning with the batter used to grill dishes.

“One of a kind. You’re not gonna taste it anywhere else, gonna get it anywhere else, not in stores,” general manager Yashica Russell said. “It’s just something [Walker] creates.”
