RALEIGH -- North Carolina is well known as an agricultural state and starting an interest in farming, production and even healthy eating early is a focus for many including schools, healthcare providers along with Gov. Roy Cooper and first lady Kristin Cooper.  

Mrs. Cooper joined the "Whole Kids Foundation" and the "United Health Foundation" and announced a special grant initiative aimed at building and expanding vegetable gardens and all around resources for agriculture in schools.
