This week, Zagat editors Kelly Dobkin and Billy Lyons visited Señor Frog’s, a restaurant and bar with live entertainment in Times Square. They filed the following report.

Señor Frog's, located in Times Square, attracts locals and tourists alike with its unique brand of food, live entertainment and party atmosphere. However, the opinions on whether the ambiance is terrific or tacky are mixed.

"You've got to give design and presentation an A," stated Zagat Editor Billy Lyons regarding the colorful table setting, which includes dishes shaped like a kitchen sink and a hot dog cart. "It's definitely an A for audacious" noted Zagat Editor Kelly Dobkin, who was not amused by a sandwich served atop a giant mousetrap.

The menu has a south of the border theme, which includes nachos, hot wings and quesadillas. Guests can also find turkey club sandwich, burgers and a jumbo hot dog if they are looking to venture beyond Mexican cuisine.

The crescent shaped dining room and bar surrounds a stage, which features staff members performing various song and dance routines. Diners can also enjoy occupy their time by watching balloon hat artists create new headwear or observing flair bartenders creating colorful drinks. "Bright colors, inviting space. The music is blasting. I don't think this place is about so much practicality as here's a lot of fun, we're hitting you in the face with it, try not to like this" noted Lyons. However, large oddly shaped glassware can pose problems. "I don't even know how I'm going to drink this" Dobkin remarked.

"When you're stressed out beyond belief, Señor Frog’s is literally the best experience you can have to have to let yourself go" stated Lyons. However, the entertainment package offered may not be for everyone. "Señor Frog’s is the best spring break of college years past," remarked Dobkin.
