If TV shows and movies can enjoy successful reboots - why not children's toys?
Teddy Ruxpin, one of the most iconic cuddly toys from the 1980s, is returning to store shelves and thousands of kids' rooms in fall 2017, according to toy manufacturer Wicked Cool Toys.
The company is responsible for rebooting another classic toy line - Cabbage Patch Kids.
Now, they have their sights set on the Teddy Ruxpin, an interactive, talking, storytelling teddy bear which first debuted in 1985.
The new bear's design includes bright LCD-screen eyes that will blink and look around, as YouTube toy reviewers MommyAndGracieShow learned during their first peek at Teddy 2017.
During their reveal, they learned that instead of a cassette player like the original, the new Teddy Ruxpin will come with a 4GB internal hard drive.
More than 8 million first-generation Teddy Ruxpins were sold during its original run, and spawned a television series.
