NATIONAL -- Apple is replacing the pistol emoji with a green water gun.
Consider it Apple's version of gun control, the change comes after some people got in trouble with the law because they used the pistol and other weapons emojis in social media posts.
Last year a group against gun violence started this campaign to specifically get rid of the firearm emoji.
It must have worked because the gun goes away with the newest Iphone and Ipad update, but that's not the only emoji change.
You'll see a woman detective, construction worker, police officer, a pride flag, new female athletes and more family options for single parents.
Apple releases that new update called IOS 10 this fall.
