After a few flurries during the very early morning hours Wednesday, expect mostly cloudy skies to continue with temperatures near freezing in the afternoon. We may see a few peeks of sunshine, but overall, the clouds will hang around through most of the day.

A flurry or two will be possible late Wednesday night, mainly in central and northern Wisconsin. By Thursday, temperatures will drop into the 20s for highs across the entire state with clouds gradually decreasing.

The bitterly cold air starts to invade Thursday night into Friday. By Friday morning, temperatures will be in the teens and single digits across Wisconsin with some areas in central or northern Wisconsin waking up to temperatures below 0°. The good news is that sunshine returns on Friday and will stick around into next week.
