Pay a bill, upgrade your service or even troubleshoot your equipment. In this week’s Unscrambled report Jill Urban looks at an app that allows you do it it all in one place.
It’s a one-stop shop for your Time Warner Cable account. From billing to troubleshooting, the My TWC App allows you to access and control your Time Warner Cable services from the palm of your hand.
“So the idea behind the My TWC app is that we wanted to give you the ability to check your services, manage your services, ask for help all in one place," explains Sumeet Datt, Senior Director of Marketing Strategy at Time Warner Cable.
By simply downloading the app and logging in using your TWC ID, you can access all aspects of your service and account from the main interface. You can check your bill or make a payment, change or add services and even troubleshoot your equipment yourself.
“So if you find your equipment is failing or your Internet is slow, click on the button that says troubleshoot. It will take you to where you can see what the status of your equipment is. If the equipment is offline or if there is some issue, just click on another button and it will reboot your equipment for you," notes Datt.
Under the voice zone section, you can adjust some of your home phone settings and access your home voicemail. And under the appointments area you can manage your appointments and settings for our tech tracker service – which provides status updates for the technician en route to your home.
"You can actually get real time communication alerts to find out where the technician is relative to your home. So if you have an appointment scheduled between 6 and 8 p.m, you will get a real time notification with a picture if the technician telling you where that technician is and what the expected arrival time is," says Datt.
The app also links to other TWC apps like our WiFi Finder app where you can access thousands of free WiFi hotspots around the country and our TWC TV app where you can watch shows and manage your DVR.
