DALLAS — As the city of Dallas continues to grapple with the seismic trade that sent Luka Doncic to Los Angeles in return for Anthony Davis, one Dallas restaurant is vowing to keep a signature Luka-inspired dish on its menu.

Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse posted a statement to Facebook Wednesday vowing to keep “The Luka” on the menu because of his impact on both the restaurant and the city. The dish is a massive 77-ounce New York strip, with no set price on the menu. It’s also not the only Maverick-themed dish, as Nick and Sam’s still serves “The Dirk,” a 41-ounce bone-in chateaubriand.

Chef Samir Dhurandhar took to social media on the Nick and Sam’s Facebook page to deliver a personal message of gratitude to Luka: "Luka is one of the most caring, warm, and funniest guys I know. His love for Dallas shined through with every conversation and game. That's why we created 'The Luka' - a dish we will continue to serve because his impact isn't defined by his profession, but by his character."

The 26-year-old steakhouse is located on the corner of Maple Avenue and Wolf Street in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, just a couple of blocks away from American Airlines Center.

Luka and the Lakers come to Dallas April 9, where the two can hopefully reunite, and maybe even share a 77-ounce steak.
