HOUSTON — Houston Texans running back Darius Anderson was arrested Friday and faces charges of  burglary with intent to rape, according to Harris County Court records.

The 24-year-old football player is no longer in custody and is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday.

"We are aware of the report involving Darius Anderson," the Texans told NFL in a statement. "We are gathering information and have no further comment at this time."

Anderson played college football at Texas Christian University. He was added to the practice squad for the Texans in December 2021 and signed a reserves/future contract in January of this year. He has not played in an NFL game.
