TEXAS — Comedian Chris Rock will make three stops in Texas during his 2022 tour, one in the Dallas area, another in Sugar Land and a third in San Antonio.

Rock on Nov. 3 is slated to play the Pavilion Toyota Music Factory in Irving. From there he’ll appear at the Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land on Nov. 5. Mostly recently announced is a show at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio set for Nov. 10.

Presale tickets went on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m., and general tickets will be available Wednesday, April 13. The “Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour 2022” will end Nov. 19 in Hollywood, Calif.

Of course everyone is wondering if Rock will address the slap to the face he received from Will Smith onstage at the Oscars. He did address the issue briefly during a recent show in Boston, telling the crowd he was “still kind of processing what happened.”

“Other than the weird thing, life is pretty good,” he said.

Rock’s joke at the Oscars was about Jada Pinkett Smith’s buzzed haircut: “Jada, I love you. ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it,” Rock said, comparing Pinkett Smith to Demi Moore’s “G.I. Jane” character, who had a buzz cut in the 1997 film.

Smith promptly stood up from his seat at the front of the venue and took to the stage, slapping Rock across the face before sitting back down and yelling at Rock to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth.

Pinkett Smith has spoken publicly about her diagnosis of alopecia, which can cause baldness.
