AUSTIN, Texas — Comedian and actor Bob Saget’s last starring role, in the film “Daniel’s Gotta Die,” will be premiering later this month at Austin Film Festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas.
Saget died in January at the age of 65.
The movie is about a man who is trying to reconnect with his family, but his family would rather kill him for his inheritance. It also stars Iggy Pop, Joel David Moore, Jason Jones, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Carly Chaikin.
Austin Film Festival will take place from Oct. 27 until Nov. 3, and will host more than 33 films to be shown throughout the festival.
A medical examiner in Florida in February said that Saget died from an accidental blow to the head, likely from a backwards fall. Saget was found dead Jan. 9 in a Florida hotel room. He’d performed in the area the night before as part of a stand-up tour. A toxicology analysis didn’t show any illicit drugs or toxins in Saget’s body, according to a statement from Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany in Orlando.
