The storm system that brought the heavy rain Friday is now battering the Mid Atlantic states with heavy rain and even snow.  On the back side of this system a northerly flow continues to bring chilly weather into the state, but at least the sun will be out this afternoon.  Highs will reach the low and mid 50s.

With diminishing winds and clearing skies tonight look for temperatures to drop quickly into the 30s.  Some outlying areas will drop into the upper 20s by tomorrow morning.

The jet stream will lift to the north this week allowing for a warming trend. Highs will warm into the 60s.  The next cold front and storm system will arrive late Wednesday bringing us a slight chance for showers and then cooler weather.
