SAN ANTONIO – You may remember the story earlier this month about a former HBO executive who changed his career path to own an instrument exchange shop.

  • Musician traded guitar to help with mother's medical bills
  • Viewer saw story and bought guitar back for musician

If you need a reminder, here’s how the the business model at Music Go Round works--

“It’s a very simple model. We buy from the public,” said Matthew Orenstein, owner. “Then, we turn around and sell it.”

But Orenstein is not the focus of this story.

On the day reporter John Salazar first featured Orenstein and his latest venture, Spectrum News cameras captured a local musician who had to sell his guitar.

26-year-old Alredo Berrospe let go of his beautiful two-tone Gipson to pay for his mother's medical bills.

Thanks in part to a Spectrum News viewer, Christmas came early for Berrospe.
