AUSTIN, Texas -- What if we all put aside political labels and really listened to our neighbor from across the aisle?

While that’s easier said than done in today’s political climate, one former Central Texas Congressional candidate is calling on Texans to check their label at the door.

“In my two years on the campaign trail I saw firsthand just how badly hyper partisanship has impacted our politics and made it just so it’s often a nasty, ugly place that people don’t want to be associated with,” said Joseph Kopser. “But we need to change that.”

Kopser very narrowly lost a 2018 Congressional race to Republican Chip Roy. While he toyed with running again, he's putting aside any political aspirations and launching a nonprofit, political action committee called USTomorrow that’s designed to increase civic engagement and promote cross-party policy solutions.
