SAN ANTONIO – City leaders are celebrating the success of the 311SA mobile app during its first year.

  • App called 311SA
  • Allows residents to report non-emergency issues
  • More than 17,700 people use it

The app allows San Antonio residents to report non-emergency related issues like potholes, graffiti, stray animals, and more from their smartphones. The city reports more than 17,700 people are using the app.

“A lot of people feel that the government doesn’t work fast for them so I think this is a way for it to be instantaneous,” said user Bryan Naylor.

City leaders say more than 33,000 requests were submitted in the last year. To date, 90 percent of those cases have been resolved.

The app also allows users to compete with other members in the community on the leaderboard to be the top civic leader. The top 10 users have submitted a combined 10,000 reports. Nayor was one of the users recognized at Wednesday’s anniversary celebration.
