SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio is preparing for 2019 Fiesta, a 10-day long party with a purpose, but other events are spread through April in light of the event, including St. Mary’s Oyster Bake.

Oyster Bake follows Fiesta’s overall theme of “party with a purpose,” with 100 percent of proceeds going directly back to the students of St. Mary’s University.

This scholarship fundraising music festival features five stages of entertainment offering continuous and varying genres of music from national, regional and local recording artists, as well as a full carnival all on the campus of St. Mary’s.

 

 

In addition, there will be 70-plus food and beverage booths as well as 100,000 oysters and 32,000 chicken on a sticks with jalapeno.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, with a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. On Saturday, gates will be opened from noon to 11 p.m.

Tickets are $30 at the gate, a VIP experience is also available for purchase.
