SAN ANTONIO – The husband of Andreen McDonald, who has been missing for over three weeks, had his terms set by a judge Wednesday morning.

  • Bond set at $300,000
  • House arrest terms set
  • Will not be able to contact his daughter

Andre McDonald’s bond was lowered from $3 million to $300,000, he will be put on house arrest and will not be able to contact his daughter.

Andre McDonald was originally arrested for tampering with evidence in the missing person’s investigation. He has not been cooperative with law enforcement.

Multiple searches have been ongoing since Andreen McDonald was officially reported missing March 1.

Andre McDonald has been behind bars since March 3.

"Well, I have mixed emotions," Andre McDonald's attorney, John Convery.

The prosecution presented evidence including receipts, a shovel, an ax, hatchet, large trash bags, and gas cans - some of which, prosecutors say, have traces of blood.

"The defendant has assets that are not normal for someone who is accused of a crime in Bexar County," said Christian Henricksen with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office. "Just the fact surrounding the arrest, up to and including him purchasing a gun when he knew the police were looking at him in this way, is a scary thing, so it demanded a high bond."

Convery said he's simply going to let the investigation proceed.

"When this becomes an accusation - Where's your wife? What did you do? Look at this. Look at that. - you're accused of an offense, and suddenly they say you have the right to remain silent," he said. "Then the guy says, 'I have the right to remain silent. I'm going to invoke that. I want to remain silent.' Then they say he's uncooperative."

Police have also offered a reward for any tips regarding the investigation.
