SAN ANTONIO — A large piece of equipment traveling to CPS Energy’s Calaveras Power Station could cause traffic delays in the greater San Antonio area this week.

  • Load is 1.8 million pounds

The oversized load has been crawling north for weeks at 1–4 mph. The 1.8-million-pound load is almost as long as a football field.

On Tuesday it crossed into Guadalupe County from Wilson County ahead of schedule.

The load is now traveling on TX-46 to TX-123, where it will to stop for the night.

On Thursday the load is scheduled to travel down FM 467 towards FM 539. It will park again for the night at FM 467 and FM 539.
