SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Buddy Valastro, also known as the “Cake Boss,” made the rounds at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, pushing a cart filled with toys and treats.

The celebrity chef and his wife Lisa gave both presents and words of encouragement Thursday.
“When you talk to the children and you inspire them, give them that will to fight, and some of these kids are in the battles of their lives," Valastro said. "And just a little bit of encouragement sometimes goes a long way. And honestly, it really makes me put life into perspective."
The reality TV star also recently opened an Italian restaurant at the Shops at La Cantera.
